Does CBD Isolate Have THC?

Does CBD Isolate Have THC?

If you’re new to CBD, understanding the differences between all of the terms and types of CBD can be difficult. One of the most common questions we get is: “Does CBD isolate contain THC?” The short answer is no. CBD isolate is 100% pure CBD and nothing else.

CBD Isolate, as the word suggests, is the isolated and purest form of cannabidiol. A number of extraction and filtration processes are carried out to remove everything else from the hemp plant except for cannabidiol. This isolate is free of any contaminants and does not carry any taste or smell. It can be consumed by the user in a number of different ways as needed. You can read more about CBD Isolate here.

What is THC?

THC is the infamous chemical compound that is responsible for causing the high when ingested. It does so by interacting and binding with the Endocannabinoid receptors present inside our bodies.

The limit of THC set by the US Department of Health and Human Services for a failed drug test is 50 mg/ml, however, it is not necessary for employers to follow this threshold. According to the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD products can contain no more than 0.3% THC.

All of the products listed on our website are THC compliant and derived from hemp. Also read how CBD Isolate works with Terpenes.

Should You Consider CBD Isolate?

CBD Isolate is a great option for those who wish to avoid THC at all costs. However, CBD is also considered a cannabinoid so if you will be undergoing a test for ALL Cannabinoids, it is best to avoid CBD. This is why it is also important to be aware of the type of drug test you will be taking.

If you are taking CBD products that contain up to 0.3% or less THC, there shouldn’t be a need to worry. However, consistent or overuse of CBD products that are THC compliant, may still result in a false positive on a drug test. Cannabinoids like CBD and THC are fat-soluble compounds and, therefore, they can be stored and built up in fat cells over time, which can then lead to a failed test. While this scenario would be the exception and not the rule, it is important for those who are concerned about drug tests to talk to their employers prior to using CBD products, even if the product is  THC compliant.

Bloom Hemp is a certified USDA organic company and all our products are THC compliant. Our CBD isolate is for those who want to be extra safe and in compliance with their employer’s policies. If you believe that CBD Isolate is the right product for you then our CBD Isolate can be purchased here.
