You must have seen a lot of hype online and in the media regarding CBD products. If you are new to the world of CBD and hemp, the biggest question you will have is what are CBD products? And is CBD legal?

It is perfectly normal to have these questions, especially with all the confusion that can come up about whether these products are legal or not. In this article, we will be explaining what CBD is, the different products it is used in, and what you can do with CBD.

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and it is one of the many cannabinoids present inside the hemp plant. In hemp, CBD is the most abundant cannabinoid which makes it an important component of hemp-based products. The biggest worry that a lot of people have with CBD is if it will get a user high? The answer is no, it will not. The infamous high which is traditionally associated with marijuana is caused by another cannabinoid called THC. With the introduction of the 2018 Farm Bill, only products with less than 0.3% THC are considered legal and can be sold to the public.

Hemp plants are cultivated specifically to have 0.3% or less THC inside them which makes all hemp based products legal. So, how does CBD work? Well, it does so by interacting with the endocannabinoid system present inside our bodies, specifically the CB1 and CB2 receptors to produce a number of effects. These effects can vary from person to person and it will also determine how you will consume CBD.

CBD Products

A great number of CBD products are now showing up in the market. If you plan to start out your own CBD journey, it can be important to know what some of the most common products are and what they offer.

CBD Isolate

A CBD isolate is the most concentrated form of CBD you can get. It is available in a white powder form and contains 99% pure CBD. It is a good option for those who wish to avoid consuming THC at all costs and wish to create their own edibles and topicals. Here at Bloom, we extract our CBD isolate from 100% organic hemp. Most CBD products you typically see are made by infusing pure CBD isolate powder with the CBD carrier oil of your choice.

Tinctures

Tinctures are made by blending pure hemp extract and organic MCT (medium chain triglyceride) oil . This allows for a fast acting formula that is absorbed easily when consumed. Bloom offers its tinctures in a variety of options including zero THC, full spectrum citrus flavor and full spectrum natural flavor. However, what we like best about our tinctures is that they are one of only a small handful of tinctures on the market to be certified USDA organic. Look for the USDA organic logo on our hemp oil extract tinctures!

Topicals

CBD is also added to different topicals such as creams, lotions, and balms. These are applied to the skin and work to provide pain relief from issues such as joint pain, dry skin, and other irritants. We offer zero THC and full-spectrum lotions along with a THC free relief balm.

Softgels

CBD Softgels are a great way to consume CBD since they offer an accurate serving every single time you consume them. They can be taken with or without food and are available in both full spectrum and zero THC options.

Which One Should You Go For?

Now that you know about the different CBD products, you must be wondering which one you should go for? Essentially, it all comes down to your own personal preference and the effects each product will have on you. We suggest experimenting with these products and then going for whatever option works best for you.
