How do you Infuse CBD with your Smoothies?

There are two ways to infuse your post-workout recovery smoothies with CBD.

  1. CBD Isolate. Many people wonder how to use CBD isolate. Infusing food and drinks is one fun way to use CBD isolate. Pure CBD isolate is 99% pure CBD and is perfect for making your own CBD products. To make a CBD infused fruit smoothie with CBD isolate you’ll have to infuse it with a carrier oil. We recommend using unrefined coconut MCT oil for CBD infused smoothies.

  2. CBD oil. Using CBD oil is super easy! Most CBD oil tinctures on the market utilize coconut MCT oil as a base and are ready to mix with just about any food or drink. Simply drop the desired amount of CBD oil in with your smoothie ingredients and blend well.

This whole process should take 10-20 minutes (20 if you’re using CBD isolate powder). If you enjoy this recipe please share your experience with us on social media @bloomhemp

The Benefits of Cooking with CBD

The benefits of cooking with CBD stretch well beyond the overall benefits of CBD. We mentioned it earlier, one of the most frustrating aspects of buying CBD is not quite getting the dose you desire. Most cannabidiol products are mass-produced and are rarely personally tailored. Furthermore, a lot of these products (the food ones especially) contain ingredients you might be looking to avoid. So why put up with all of this? Why not take control of your CBD supplements by beginning to cook with CBD? Cooking with CBD allows you complete control over every aspect of your ingredients, supplements, and it’s a lot more affordable too.Nobody enjoys taking supplements. That is why we recommend using an easy CBD smoothie recipe to supplement your CBD. This way, you can enjoy taking your CBD and enjoy all the benefits of eating a healthy plant-based meal. Feel free to add in any other supplements you take and get them all out of the way in one drink.

CBD & Inflammation

One of the leading causes of inflammation is our diet. Without a proper diet, our bodies become easily inflamed and begin to feel sore and run-down. So adding cannabidiol to your favorite recipes is really a no-brainer. Studies continue to link CBD to a considerable decrease in inflammation. Studies also show that CBD may, in fact, shut down unhealthy inflammation completely with long-term use. This is important because inflammation is the root cause of most of our ailments. From stress to pain, an over-reactive inflammatory response is typically at the heart of the issue.CBD works with the body naturally to balance everything out and help maintain an optimal level of homeostasis. Finally, one of the most significant benefits of cooking with CBD is the price. Most companies will happily over-charge you for a process you can do at home yourself. Learning how to cook with CBD isolate will completely change your outlook on cooking as well as the price of cannabidiol supplements. Take complete control over your doses and your wallet with CBD isolate.

Cooking with CBD Isolate

Cooking with CBD isolate is the best way to experience your desired dose of CBD at an affordable price. Pure CBD isolate is easy to cook with, and once you get the hang of it, you’ll be finding excuses to infuse all your meals with CBD.We’ll start with the double boiling method. The double boiling method is a heat-controlled cooking technique that will allow us to infuse our pure CBD isolate with a carrier oil. This is the underlying process behind cooking with CBD isolate. For the most part, you can’t just add CBD isolate into your recipes straight up. It must first be infused with the carrier oil of your choice. The carrier oil we recommend using for cooking is unrefined coconut MCT oil. Unrefined coconut MCT oil is the best carrier oil for cooking with CBD isolate because it is relatively flavorless, infuses seamlessly, has health benefits of its own, and promotes better absorption of CBD. All of these factors add up to make coconut MCT oil the best carrier oil for CBD.

The Double Boiling Method

To infuse pure CBD isolate powder with coconut MCT oil, or any other carrier oil, we’ll need to use the double boiling method. The double boiling method requires that you use two pots to boil water. One larger pot, partially filled with water, and a smaller pot to sit inside the larger pot above the water. Bring the water in the larger pot to a low boil. When the water comes to a boil, it should not be touching the larger pot. We want to use the heat from the boiling water to infuse the CBD isolate without burning it off. With the water in the larger pot boiling, add the desired amount of carrier oil and CBD isolate powder together. Continue to stir and mix the oil until the isolate is no longer visible. This whole process should take 10-15 minutes. Once you are finished you can store the CBD infused carrier oil to use as needed anytime you are cooking with CBD. The CBD infused oil is what you will add with the rest of the ingredients to any recipe to infuse it with CBD. Looking to infuse your meals with CBD but you’re in a bit of a rush? You can use a CBD oil tincture to drop the desired amount of CBD in with your recipe – if the tincture uses MCT oil as a base oil. Most CBD tinctures are formulated in a way that makes them ready-made to infuse with your favorite recipes.
